School Council

At St Mary's our children hold elections for new school council members each year. In July we decided to hold our election for September to coincide with the general elections.  The children created their own manifestos, spoke passionately to their peers about their manifestos and children had the opportunity to ask questions about their pledges. Finally the campaign ended with class elections on Thursday 4th July where the children used their right to democracy to vote.
