• Monday 7 October 2024 NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe programme This week the children in KS1 and KS2 have taken part in the NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe programme. The aim of the programme is to support your child in knowing how to keep themselves safe and who to speak to if they are worried.
• Thursday 3 October 2024 Porch Boxes Donations - Thank You! Thank you to all the families of St Mary's for your kind donations to Porch Boxes our chosen charity this Autumn.
• Thursday 3 October 2024 Harvest Celebrations Nursery, Reception and Year 1 came together this morning for worship, we spent some time reflecting on the Parable of the Sower and the children led their own prayers with some very meaningful words. They performed a lovely poem and sung beautifully with their well crafted scarecrows. In KS2 they held their Harvest Festival Service in St Mary's Church, with members of the community invited to join them.
• Thursday 19 September 2024 Thank you and good bye Father Shaun Today we were lucky enough to celebrate worship with Father Shaun before he leaves St Mary's to start on his new adventure. We wish him well and thanked him for all his service. He will be popping into each class on Monday to say a final farewell.
• Friday 5 July 2024 Year 6 Wales Residential The children have been absolutely brilliant during our residential trip to Wales. They have shown great enthusiasm, teamwork, had fantastic fun and showed great manners during their time there. They have been a credit to St Mary’s and have had the opportunity to experience new adventures, develop new skills and develop independence. We hope they will hold on to all these amazing memories as they start the next stage of their learning journey.
• Tuesday 11 June 2024 The Great Science Share Our Science Leads were spectacular today representing St Mary's at the Great Science Share at Salford University today! The children were brilliant ambassadors for Science and our school - sharing their passion and knowledge with pupils from other schools from the whole of the North West. A special thank you to Niamh and Aurora who opened the event, welcoming over 40 schools and 400 pupils!
• Sunday 9 June 2024 Nursery and Y4 Sunday Worship 9th June 2024 Well done to those Y4 children who alongside the Nursery children, helped lead the worship in St Mary's CE Church today, delivering a great sermon about temptation with the help of a plate of chocolate biscuits.
